PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES

The following guidelines are set forth to promote a safe, fun and enjoyable parade for all participants and the community. By submitting the participation agreement or band contract form to the Northern Westchester-Putnam St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, you are agreeing to abide by the following guidelines:

All Federal, State and Local laws will be followed.

Participants agree to follow the direction of Parade Committee representatives.

The throwing of any objects into the crowd from any vehicles is strictly prohibited. Items such as candy, beads, etc. may be handed out by marchers walking along parade route.

Organizations will not display statements or political views.

Election and campaign material will not be permitted or handed out by parade participants.

The use of inappropriate language is prohibited.

The wearing of clothing with inappropriate language is prohibited.

Please refrain from smoking or vaping along the parade route.

Organizations are encouraged to have an American and Irish flag leading their group.

Organizations are encouraged to carry a banner identifying the group.

All vehicles and floats participating in the parade will be decorated appropriately. Military and emergency vehicles are exempt.

The Northern Westchester-Putnam Parade is held to promote Irish and American pride and heritage. Enjoy marching! Please conduct yourself in an appropriate manner.
